Kinky Fight Club Devlog
Hello everyone, im gonna try to post here somethng of what went ok and went wrong while making updates for KYFC.
Initially i was very happy with the reaction of the people to the game, however i dont know how to get to more people, and that kinda drop me down a little.
When i went to make the 0.2 base upgrade it was a lot of work, more than what i originally tought.
first i had to remove from the base game script the automatic setting of Max as a character. Then i had to create a database of all the characters, all the clothing and all the textures. That took a while, considering that the original idea was to add 2 more characters of each gender, instead i ended up adding a few more, and each character had to be done in blender, then doing the textures, then the clothing, and the clothing textures. Then i had to import into unity, correct any possible errors, or mismatchs, (and here i got stuck for a while because when i was importing to model into FBX it moved a little to the back, so it was completely out of sync in unity). After all that i had to index them in the script for character selection, which took me the better part of the week to finalize it, because not only i had to Select a character, i also had to change the appereance of the selection screen model, the attributes, the mesh, textures and base script of the character in the Game scene.
Overall it was just putting numbers and referencing stuff here and there, but a lot.
I could have done it in a simpler way, but that system would only be usefull for a short time, because it wouldnt support the feature to change clothing or changing textures/colors, something that i have planned for the future. So instead of doing the easy way, i went the hard way, but what i did will work for the future, and will the RPG system usefull and way more viable to implement without headaches.
besides that i also made the weakness and resistance system, however there was no point in implementing it yet, because of the few movements variety currently in the girl's arsenal: 2 of their 3 sex attacks are Cowgirl style, so any character with weakness in cowgirl will automatically be the weakest character in the game. In order to make that balanced i will launch the weakness and resistance system in the next patch, together with a bit more animations in order to make the game balanced.
I hope someone reads this and likes it. Making games is not easy to behonest, but is something that once you start doing it, it becomes a great joy, (when it works, when it doesnt it makes you enter a barbarian rage)
im gonna keep doing this, and adding more stuff to the game, even if the patreon goals are reached or not, however if you read this and wanna support me i will be very happy, because i wil be one step closer to fulfilling my goal of making games for life.
